I'm feeling pretty good right now about school. I'm in that magic zone where I have readings due, but little else at the moment. My next paper is three weeks away, and I have some ideas already about how to approach it. I've finished all my exams, and am free, as yet from the crushing reality of the grades for those exams. So, while I am still blissfully ignorant of my true position in the semester, I might as well enjoy the bliss, no?

Hope everyone else is having a good day, too.

They have a mini outdoor produce market here on campus, just outside the Chavez cafeteria. Instead of having to stop at Whole Foods or Berkeley Bowl, I was able to purchase fresh Semifreddi's bread on Sproul plaza. This means more time at home doing dishes and all-around preparing for dinner guests. Yay! More time means less stress. *happy dance*

I got the Info response written, and did enough studying for Spanish so as not to make a fool of myself today. I'll get some studying for Spanish in tonight after guests tot off to BaGG, and in the morning before class. I can identify most of the major cities in Mexico, almost all of the major geographic features, and probably 30% of the states. I'll review and expand my understanding there, and work on vocabulary for Spanish.

Much less stressed now than I was this morning.

If you can call it that. I think I'll get actual instruction in 1.7 of four classes.

Up early to try and crank out some writing and review Psych concepts for today's exam. They're going to have a ceremony in M/Lat, some hippy nonsense that has been syncretized to be Native American/Latino (calling upon the four directions). Then, a Psych exam. Then lunch. Then actual instruction for the last time with Tim (pout). Thence to Berkeley for Stats. Ok. Gotta stop now so I can actually write instead of LJ-noodling.

Ta ta for now.

The Psych class is full, but I think I'll crash it with an addslip. I don't imagine the Instructor (Iljas) will have a problem with me attempting to add. I'll pick up an addslip tomorrow or Tuesday.

Heh. The following is not a eupehmism:
I have His Excellency's mail in my backpack.
No. I cannot elaborate.

I spoke with a counselor (Moore) today about transfer reqs, and he implied that we'd see frost on the pavingstones on the second level of hell before I transferred to Cal in the spring. I suppose that will be ok, but I'm going to talk with the Cal xfer advisor about the prospect anyway. I imagine there would be no problem for me to xfer to SFSU this spring, but doing that likely means skipping the Cal undergrad thing entirely. Must think on this. Also must line up request rec letters from Graham, Sabsevary, Burgess, Goldstein?, Alixopulos?, Pahud?, Bohorquez. Shotgun.

Went to Berkeley to pick up the Stats book. Also wanted to stick my head into the building at BCC (read Vista) to orient myself before classes start next week, and I'm totally lost. Alas, the building is still being built. Although it seems that mostly only finish work is left, they still have cones and caution tape, and the public is, as yet, only allowed into the lobby, wherein registrations and finaid applications occur. A man in a hardhat told me that the building would only be ready by 8/23, when classes are scheduled to commence.

I have books for all the classes currently scheduled, but I only have 10 units at this time. I'm debating about taking a Psych class to show that the F on the CR transcript from 15 years ago should be ignored, especially when, having re-taken the class, I get an A (I imagine I'll get an A).

Ok. Enough noodling about school. Almost time for work.
