Either you are a part of the solution, or you are a part of the precipitate.

Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] sylphslider's post about the Sexual Addiction Screening Test, which she found through The Blowfish Blog . It occurs to me though, that while sex is often talked about because it's, you know, sexy, the real problems lie elsewhere. As Bishop Wilberforce says "Too much education would make everyone unfit to follow the plow." The problem in our society is not too much access to or problems with sex. The problem is that too many workers are being corrupted by words, and thereafter useless for actual work. Since without work and workers we'd be lost, work is the foundation of society, words are hacking away at our social foundations.

In order to address the problem, it is first necessary to determine whether you are a part of the problem.

[Poll #1107269]

If you answered yes or sometimes to any of these, you might have a problem If you answered yes to more than five of these questions, then you could very well be a text addict. Please report to your nearest re-education center to be cured of your unhealthy textual impulses. In no time you'll be a happy, healthy text-free member of society.

I don't know what you're talking about. I can quit any time I want to. And I don't. Want to. Quit, that is.
