Varia

Thanks all for the bindery suggestions. Looks like I'll be hitting Pettingell's on Bancroft shortly after payday with a copy of Dogs in the Vineyard in hand. We'll see how that goes, I'll keep those interested up to date.

Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] steluch, welcome to the dark side.

I've been meaning to write up my impressions of Kublacon, but I've not yet taken the time to do so. We'll see if I can get around to that before the memories fade too much.

Watched the new Battlestar Galactica episode "Flesh & Blood". I almost wish I'd seen the episode again before I played the Captain of the Geminon Traveler in [livejournal.com profile] dancingshaman's LARP, "Wandering Traveler". Not that I would have done a lot differently, I suppose, but it would have been a better fix of the character in my mind.

Ok... back to work. Looks like Drunken Fish for lunch today, yummy.

Oh... and secret project, about which I will not speak to y'all until it's done? Proceeding apace. ;-)

ETA: Today is the anniversary of that dark day when Genseric (and some friends) sacked Rome.

Have you played DitV? I picked it up, and I don't believe either of my regular groups is interested, and it looked like fun.

It is great fun. I picked up a copy at Chris Hanrahan's recommendation (from Endgame), and ran a couple of one-shots. I had lots of fun, and so did my players (so they say). I'm planning to run the game at ConquestSF, and the Endgame mini-con on July 15. My personal preference would be to get a group of four players (or five if they're really-super-sympatico) for a regular weekly game lasting seven-to-ten sessions total. That's my dream. Well, my Dog's in the Vineyard dream, anyway.

Now, why on earth would we lie about something like that? Unless, of course, we're banking on your famous tendancy to run something once and then move on to the next thing, figuring that our ego-cushioning lie won't return to bite us in the arse... ;-)

I almost always run at least 3-4 sessions (famous tendency indeed).

"Leave 'em wanting more." That's my motto. ;-)

Aw, man, and here I've been patting myself on the back for buying it during your Ars Magica game at DunDraCon, thinking that I spread it to you all viruslike there. :)

I had already run it twice by April 1st, and was excited because the FoolCon was my opportunity to play in someone else's game. :-)

Still, [livejournal.com profile] eriktdahl, do not despair. You are already like as unto a god to us. You will be the second victim benificiary of Vandal.

Me too! FoolCon was the first time I got to play Dogs, since I had bought it at DunDraCon and was raving about it in your Ars Magica game.

So wait, is Vandal your secwet pwoject? Is it a code name? I need to come up with cool code names for my secwet pwojects, too.
